My curiosity about the social world began early and accelerated once I began studying sociology. I have a passion for sociology that is ignited by teaching the sociological perspective and researching issues that resonate in my community.
I was raised in the military community and feel a deep connection to military servicemembers and veterans. I see the military as one of the most profound institutions in American society. I have been pursuing questions related to military culture, organizational policy, and civil-military relations since I was an undergraduate at Chapman University.
I also love dogs and I am easily delighted by a good cup of coffee.
